Finance can get very complex, very quickly. The math and statistics involved and quickly cause the average person to lose interest. That is unfortunate because we use financial principles in our lives every single day.
Whether you are a banker or a high school English teacher, you have to have these basics principles in order to live. It’s up to you whether you want to make good financial decisions or bad ones. There is no neutral here. Everyone makes financial decisions, and you really can’t get away from that.
So what I’ll do in this post is to lay out the basics of finance so you get an elementary sense of what finance is. From there I will take you to the more complex world of scholarship and business. Ultimately, no matter how deep the analysis and calculations get, it all comes from the same foundations.
